席入りの仕方

Sit at the entrance of the tea ceremony with a folding fan placed in front of your knees, open about two-thirds with the hand closest to the handle of the fusuma, and push the remaining one-third open with the other hand.
Bow lightly, move the folding fan forward, place both hands on the tatami mat, bend lightly, and enter with your hips floating
After entering the tea ceremony, stand up with the folding fan in your right hand.
If you are not a regular guest, put the folding fan in front of your knees and bow to the regular guest before standing up
If you are the last person to enter and close the door, close about two-thirds of the way with the hand closest to the handle, and close the remaining one-third with the other hand
In Omotesenke, the seat in front of the floor is the regular guest seat
Therefore, even in the shimoza-doko seats, the shokyaku sit in front of the toko.
The sitting position is about eight inches (16 tatami mats) below the edge of the tatami mat.
